Assistant Principal - Mychele Chapin

Mychele Chapin
It is an honor to come back to the place I graduated from as an Assistant Principal. I am excited to be a part of a staff that is working to make BHS the best it can be.

It is a privilege to serve as an Assistant Principal at Bastrop High School, the school where I proudly graduated. I am committed to supporting every student, partnering with families, and working alongside our teachers to create a positive learning environment where all students can succeed.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from St. Edward's University and a master's degree in Special Education. I began my career in education teaching fifth grade before joining Bastrop ISD, where I taught English Language Arts and Inclusion at Bastrop Middle School and later served as the ELA/Social Studies Instructional Coach.

As a proud BHS graduate and parent of two BHS alumni, I value the strong connections that make our school community special. I look forward to building relationships with our students and families and helping every student reach their full potential.

Please feel free to contact me at mchapin@bisdtx.org or 512-772-7200. I look forward to partnering with you for a successful school year!
